Nicki Dalloway has recently graduated for a Masters Degree in Art and Design (Textiles), her work involved an exploration of digital photography to capture images of light with no objects present (images of work can be found under the heading Gallery - Coloured Light) of light were then taken through a design process to lead to final products including printed glass, a chandelier made from resin ice cubes and a printed solid glass block designed to be situated within a decking / stone flooring in a interior or exterior setting. The idea behind this project had followed on from work she produced for her BA Degree.

Prior to this Nicki studied a BA (Honours) Degree in Design for Interior Textiles and Floor Coverings at the University of Wolverhampton. During her BA Nicki specialised in rug and flooring design (both hard flooring and carpet), her work included experimenting with digital photography to create visual research to influence rug and repeat flooring designs developed through the use of computer aided design and hand rendering techniques. Nicki's final project was based on glass and light, where she developed an experimental series of digital photographs which explored coloured light projected through glass objects, these images were then taken through a design process to create final designs for flooring concepts. Some of Nicki's most recent and ongoing work includes photographing nature, flowers, lakes, forests etc, where she explores to capture images from a distance and up close, focusing on colour and composition.
